President’s Message

 In From the President’s Desk

Dear Friends,

I hope everyone had a colourful Holi. Thank you to Rtn. Naresh Jain and Rtn. Mohit Jain for hosting such a fabulous Holi bash.

Our 90th year celebrations kicked the week off to a good start. My heart-felt thanks to all the guests who made it and we sure missed those who couldn’t be with us on this joyous occasion. The entire team worked relentlessly to put up such a great show – I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

I thank the entire staff of the Taj Hotels, particularly Rtn. Puneet Chhatwal, Rtn. Farhat Jamal, Rtn. Camellia Panjabi, Taljinder Singh, Rtn. Renu Basu, Rtn. Ashrafi Matcheswala, Geet Nazir, Akshay Gupta, Sonia Sharma and Sarita Singh.

Thank you PP Rtn. Sandip Agarwalla, Rtn. Abhinav Aggarwal, Rtn. Ptn. Avaan Vakharia, Rtn. Ptn. Malini Agarwalla for all the effort put in making the celebration a memorable one. I thank the team who helped in the making of the 90 years book – Rtn. Jimmy Pochkhanawalla, PP Rtn. Sandip Agarwalla, PP Rtn. Paul George, Rtn. Deepak Kapadia, Reshma Jain and team for all their hardwork. Lastly I thank the Rotary Club office staff for all their effort.

Our speaker today, Dr. Deepak Apte, will be presented with the Taru Lalvani Environment Protection Award. I would
like to quote Allen Klein who says, “Your attitude is like a box of crayons that colour your world. Constantly colour your picture gray, and your picture will always be bleak. Try adding some bright colours to the picture by including humour, and your picture begins to lighten up.”

Thank You,
Rtn. Vijay Jatia,
President
