RCB Lighthouse Welcomed Stefan Haves For A Short Visit

On Saturday, the 1st of September, Stefan Haves (Global Director, Cirque) visited the Rotary Club of Bombay Lighthouse Project at Machimar Nagar in Cuffe Parade.

Stefan Haves is an acclaimed director, creator and producer of circus, theater and films. His directorial creations have appeared on stage, at festivals, and on screen across the globe.

The Global Cirque Director / TEDx speaker was welcomed in our Indian traditional manner. A Lighthouse student dressed in traditional Koli attire garlanded him and the children presented him a thank you card for his visit and sang a welcome song “We shall overcome“ with much gusto.

Once Stefan introduced himself, he interacted with the children with a lot of energy and enthusiasm. He owned the stage, had the attention of all 80 children present there. All the children (4 – 9 years of age) listened to him with complete attention, followed his instructions and participated in the fun activities he made them do.

He spent over half an hour regaling them and kept them enthralled the entire time. His enthusiasm was so infectious that the guests and the teachers of Lighthouse also participated and enjoyed the lighthearted play. Truly, a talented communicator, Stefan Haves transcends the barriers of language and age.

After a fruitful afternoon, the children went back home happy.
