The VTC Certificate Distribution Program

On 21st October, The Rotary Club of Bombay along with the Bombay YMCA ORD Dept organized a VTC Certificate Distribution Programme. This was held at the YMCA International House at Mumbai Central. Our President, Dr. Sonya Mehta was the Chief Guest and she was accompanied by Shernaz Vakil and Bimal Mehta. Representing the Bombay YMCA were Mr. Ebernezer Simens (Gen. Secretary), Mr. Melvin Louis (Ass. Gen. Secretary) and PP Paul Goeorge (Dep. Gen. Secretary). Mrs. Kshama Jayaraj, ORD Chairperson and other dignitaries from the Rotary also attended the event, which comprised an audience of approximately three hundred attendees.

The VTC students regaled everyone with various cultural programs and skits and video-displays of ex-students’ testimonies were shown. Twenty-Four certificates were then distributed by Dr. Sonya Mehta and a few other dignitaries to students who had achieved success in eclectic fields including MSCIT, Typing proficiency in English and Marathi, embroidery, tailoring, mehendi and computer studies and teacher training. A closing prayer marked the end of the program.
