Lighthouse kids learn about plastic bags and their harmful effects on the environment
Our Lighthouse children were recently informed about the harmful effects of plastic bags on our environment. We extend our gratitude to the Sanskar India Foundation for conducting a workshop on ‘Say No to Plastics’ in celebration of International Plastic Bag Free Day. An awareness session on the detrimental impacts of plastics was delivered through a PowerPoint presentation.
The children learned how plastic production and disposal pollutes the air, soil, and water, leading to harmful effects on health and the environment. Various ways to avoid using plastic and eco-friendly alternatives were discussed.
Following this, a question and answer session deepened their understanding. The students were then taught how to make paper bags and simple no-sew bags from old t-shirts. The response to the session was excellent, and the children thoroughly enjoyed
