📖✨The Bhavishya Yaan Literature Festival 2024 concluded with an inspiring and joyous finale at the GK Marg School, wrapping up a memorable Diwali Camp focused on celebrating the genius of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore.
🌟 A Day of Learning and Expression:
The students proudly showcased their newfound knowledge of Tagore’s life and works, sharing insights on his timeless stories like Kabuliwala and When Wishes Come True. Their enthusiasm for Tagore’s legacy was palpable, turning the event into a true celebration of literature.
🎶
The day opened with a mesmerizing dance by Std. 6 students to the original Bengali rendition of Bharat Bhagya Vidhata.
This was followed by a trilingual performance of Ekla Chalo Re by students of Standards 6 and 8, blending languages seamlessly to convey the song’s profound meaning.
Std. 5 students took the stage with a soulful dance to Ekla Chalo Re, leaving the audience spellbound.
The highlight was a heartfelt skit based on Kabuliwala, where students delivered dialogues with incredible skill and emotion.

The day ended on a lighter note with a delightful recitation of Tagore’s humorous poem Sunday, bringing smiles and laughter to all present.

The Literature Festival concluded with a prize distribution, honouring students who excelled during the camp, followed by a feast of delicious snacks.
At Bhavishya Yaan, we believe in nurturing a love for literature and creativity, empowering young minds to explore, learn, and shine. ✨

We are thrilled to share that the recent visit of the Johnson & Johnson team to Dharamshala was a resounding success! 🌟 The afternoon tour left them deeply impressed with the quality of work, facilities, and operations at Dharamshala.

The primary objective was to assess VCare’s work and evaluate its partnership with us. The team was highly satisfied with the insightful discussions and collaborative approach, reflecting a positive outlook for our ongoing partnership. 🙌

👏 Their efforts showcased the impactful work happening at Dharamshala and reinforced the strong connection between Johnson & Johnson, VCare, and RCB. This visit marks another important step in furthering our community welfare initiatives. 💪

🌸 A Little TLC for Our Lighthouse Moms! 🌸
The Child Welfare Committee knows that caring for children is a full-time job, and our wonderful Lighthouse Programme moms deserve a break too! 💆‍♀️✨
To help them unwind, we organised a soothing session exploring chakra and colour therapy meditation. The moms immersed themselves in this calming experience, finding moments of peace, balance, and connection. The smiles on their faces say it all — sometimes, a little self-care is all we need to recharge. 💖🌈
Here's to creating joyful moments for the amazing moms who nurture our future! 🌟💐

The Bhavishya Yaan Schools’ Literature Festival 2024 brought Rabindranath Tagore's legacy to life for students from grades 4 to 9 across our Colaba, Prabhadevi, and GK Marg schools. 🌟
With the Diwali spirit shining bright, students explored Tagore’s timeless stories, poems, and quotes, diving into works like Kabuliwala and the inspiring anthem Ekla Chalo Re. The festival was a blend of literature, art, and interactive learning.
📖 Colaba: Full of enthusiasm, teachers and students engaged in story readings, with creative board decorations and art from students like Sonakshi adding a special touch.
🌈 Prabhadevi: Students not only learned Tagore’s words but also crafted beautiful diyas, capturing the festival’s essence.
🎨 GK Marg: Here, students created drawings and charts celebrating Tagore’s life, showing their deep appreciation for his contributions to literature.
From story-themed puzzles to screenings of The Kabuliwala, Tagore’s world came alive for a new generation, bringing literary finesse into the heart of our schools! 🌸📚

Recently, our Club celebrated the spirit of Diwali with the vibrant street children of the Salaam Baalak Centre at Chowpatty.

Members of Rotary Club of Bombays’ Child Welfare Committee brought the festive joy alive with crackers, sweet treats, milkshakes, chocolates, and an abundance of chips!

The event was filled with warmth as Committee Chairman, Rtn. Vandan Shah, and Co-Chair, Rtn. Rajesh Shah, engaged with the children, asking them about the daily nutrition provided by RCB.
The children shared stories of how much they cherish the hot meals RCB provides, often their only filling meal of the day. Their smiles and laughter lit up the gathering as they danced and enthusiastically shared stories of their lives.
Members of the Satellite Club, Suditi and Meha Shah, along with Rtn. Ami Jagtiani, distributed treats, while Rtn. Meher Vakil brought 500 snack packs to keep the Diwali cheer going for the whole month. Meher also discussed new ways to enhance the children’s nutrition through breakfast and evening snacks, making plans for an even brighter future.

Adding to the joy, the children enjoyed learning about America from Rotary Partner Matt, whose presence made the day even more special.
A heartfelt afternoon spent with 45 amazing children, this event was a reminder of the difference a caring community can make. Our thanks to the trustees of Salaam Baalak Centre for their hospitality and for creating a warm, welcoming space for this beautiful Diwali celebration.

The Rotary Club of Bombay gathered at The Lotus Room, Trident Hotel, Nariman Point, for a remarkable session on ‘Five Decades of Evolution in Criminal Law Practice – Challenges and Rewards.’ with the esteemed criminal lawyer and former Rajya Sabha member Majeed Memon. Our speaker was in conversation with his son, our member Rtn. Zulfiquar Memon, Founder and Managing Partner of MZM Legal.
