3rd Jal Jeevan Centre inaugurated at Ambujwadi, Malad

On 21st November, the Water Resources Committee established its 3rd Jal Jeevan Centre at Ambujwadi slum in Malwani to provide safe, clean drinking water to the residents of that community. A Global Grant project of the Rotary Club of Bombay in partnership with Rotary Club of Detroit, the Jal Jeevan Centre houses a Reverse Osmosis water purification plant installed by Eureka Forbes Institute of Environment. The plant was inaugurated by President Dr. Mukesh Batra, donor Mr. Kantibhai from Detroit and Rtn. Suresh Goklaney of Eureka Forbes. Rotary Club of Bombay also partnered with United Way, India and NGO Ghar Banao Ghar Bachao Andolan to conduct a Hepatitis-B immunization camp for residents of the slum.
