40TH INTEGRATED VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

On February 13th, 2025, the Rotary Club of Bombay (RCB), in collaboration with the Chirag Rural Development Foundation, will mark the completion of its 40th Integrated Village Development Project. This milestone initiative, implemented in the remote village of Chandragav, Palghar District, is set to significantly enhance the quality of life for its residents through sustainable solar energy solutions and critical infrastructure improvements.

President Satyan Israni highlighted the impact of this transformation, stating, “This initiative will provide continuous light to 723 villagers through individual solar lamps.” The households will have access to 2500 litres of drinking water a day and individual water filters have been provided to every house to ensure safe drinking water. 23 solar powered street lights will make the surroundings safe and villagers will no longer fear snake and scorpion bites.
