Javed Ali Fund Raiser For Women’s Empowerment
All Rotarians are invited to RCB’s flagship Fund Raiser which will be held on the 29th of March, 2016, at the Bhabha Auditorium, NCPA, Nariman Point, where acclaimed playback singer, Javed Ali, promises to enthrall all with his melodious serenades, known to be as smoothing to the ear as they are enriching in lyrics. Supporting the cause of Women’s Empowerment, this fabulous Fund Raiser, will have Javed Ali wowing Rotarians via a mesmerizing live performance where he will perform acclaimed original scores as well as covers including Arziyan-Maula Mere Maula (Delhi 6); Kun Faya (Rockstar); Khwaja Mere Khwaja (Jodha Akbar); Sufi Kalam Chhap Tilak; Man Kunto Maula and Dam-a-dam Mast Kalandar. The proceeds from the event will go towards supporting RCB’s IWA venture – the medical clinic dedicated to the care of women and children, located at Fort in South Mumbai – which has been providing the much needed health and medical care since two years now. The good health and well-being of women and children is the primary need of the hour today. The focus is rightfully on providing healthcare for women and children as India has one of the worst maternal and infant mortality rates in the world, which needs to be addressed immediately. Medical care is one of the cornerstones of Rotary’s service to those in need and the underprivileged who cannot afford medical help. The Rotary Club of Bombay is proud to offer, for the first time, the opportunity of a medical clinic with a constant physical presence in South Bombay. The location at Fort geographically facilitates the members of the Club to dedicate even more time to the clinic as both – volunteers as well as doctors delivering healthcare to those in need – since most of them live and work in South Bombay itself. The Fund Raiser aims to raise funds by way of passes and Advertisements in the brochure. All are requested all to attend and contribute towards the Fund Raiser and enjoy a pleasant evening!
