Song and Dance competition at Ananda Yaan
Beneath the smiling faces of senior citizens are the real problems they face everyday such as – loneliness, lack of recreation facilities, lack of networking with peers, etc.
Ananda Yaan is an effort to give them a platform where they can relive their second innings with enthusiasm.
For this, our members from both centres are practising their dancing and singing to qualify for auditions to participate in a talent show called “Dignity Icon” organised by our project partners – Dignity Foundation.
This is a talent show for age 55 years and above. They get to showcase their talent in singing and dancing in front of actor Rakesh Bedi and noted theater personality Raell Padamsee.
We wish them all the best to become the first Dignity Icon and win exciting prizes. Nevertheless, the whole process of making groups and competing to participate is what they will remember for their life.
Final audition was conducted at the Dadar Matunga Cultural Centre on 18th July.
