President’s Message
Dear Friends,
As we all ushered in the new year, our fellow Rotarian Dinesh Daftary lost his beloved wife, Dr. Rajani Daftary, on
January 1st. Our sincere condolences to the entire Daftary family.
We are happy to welcome into our midst an industrialist with a heart of gold, Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group. We induct him as an Honorary Member today. Anand Mahindra’s legacy as a world business leader as well as a humanitarian is inspiring.
Friends, I am also glad to inform you that our Club, under the leadership of IPP Ramesh Narayan, received a handful of awards from the District last week. This shows that when you entrust a great team with responsibility, the outcome is always splendid. Congratulations to last year’s team.
I thank Rtn. Rajas Doshi for his magnanimous donation towards the new Bhavishya Yaan school. Our first fundraiser
for the year 2019 is on January 18th at the Asiatic Library’s Darbar Hall. We request you all to join us in large numbers. Together, let’s do the best we can.
