“Art is too important not to share”- Romero Britto
Giving back to those in need is a mandate at Urvi Shah & Associates, and its founder Urvi regularly donates her time and creative energy to invigorate the minds of young children. Urvi, an interior designer by profession, established Urvi Shah & Associates 15 years ago.
She started her journey of volunteering once a week at Bhavishya Yaan two years ago. Since then she has taught the
children of GK Marg Municipal School art in all its forms. She guides the children and makes them try their hand at new mediums, from sketching to oil pastels to paints using different techniques in each medium. Recently, she took
a ‘Fabric painting workshop’ which the kids enjoyed. They made their own personalised cloth bags which will be used
to store their artwork and colours.
In her own words, “The children are extremely responsive and eager to learn which makes teaching them all the more fun. I can safely say it is the best part of my week!”
