The Training Centre made additional and exceptional efforts this year to reach out to the youth in and around its community by introducing additional courses to keep the centre updated with the ever changing scenario in the outside world. We now have 32 new short term courses introduced for the youth.

With the purpose of helping, guiding and training students for interviews, we organised a two day personality development workshop in the month of February 2020. Close to 75 students benefited from this workshop that focused on positive attitude, body language and confidence building .

The workshop was followed by a Job Fair that was organised to help the youth attain suitable jobs on completion of their training. Our focus was and continues to be the girls and women from the marginalised section of the community.
Close to 1500 youngsters benefitted through our training programmes during the year.

VTCE Certificate Distribution Programme: This Annual event was organised in the month of March at the YMCA International House. It is an event to provide a platform for our students to showcase their talents that they have acquired during their time in the centre and a few cultural performances. Certificates are distributed to those who have successfully completed their course during the year. Some of the students shared very heart tugging testimonials of how with the help of the Rotary and YMCA they were now in a better position to help themselves. The Chief Guest for the event was President Preeti Mehta who shared some encouraging words with the students.
