With a theme of “Against all odds”, RC Jai Hind College has beaten all the challenges of this online year to organise 300+ projects. Flagship projects with an adequate improvisation to fit the online criteria, the Club has strengthened bonds with the Rotary Club Of Bombay which helped in their project: Silent Saturdays 2020.

RCHR, the Rotaract Club of HR College, faced the many ups and downs by giving their best. Online as well as offline projects were conducted. They collaborated with RCB to conduct several projects for the Lighthouse, Bhavishya Yaan as well as Ananda Yaan committees.

RCISME signed the charter this year and conducted over 121 projects with a team of 74 members. They were the first Club in the country to have RI President Rtn. Holger Knaack at their installation. They won a crown at the AARA award for Saathi NGO mela. With the Rotary Club of Bombay, they worked on Yaadon Ki Baarat and Flag from Home under the Lighthouse Committee. Their highlighted projects were: Support Bharat, where they fundraised over a lakh rupees to provide 200 plus families with ration kits. MUNzil, a virtual MUN with 136 participants and Rs.12000/- as sponsorship from Furtado’s. Lastly, Speaktravaganza, a digital communications fest in which over 178 total participants participated more than nine events.

The Rotaract Club of Sydenham College also signed the charter in this year.

The Rotaract Club of Hinduja College successfully conducted the following joint projects with Rotary Club of Bombay:

  • Yeh Shaam Mastani: An event where virtual singing and shaayari performances were organised for AY members.

  • AY KI HOLI: An on-ground Holi event for Ananda Yaan members where some fun activities were planned with song and dance.
  • Fun, Learn & Grow: The event was conducted for five continuous days for Lighthouse wherein each day had a learning and a fun activity in it.

RC Bombay and RC Government Dental College did their bit by helping at Talwada and doing small community service projects through the pandemic.

This year would not have been as great as it was if not for the enthusiasm that Rotaractors bring to our projects. Needless to say, the fabulous work they do is on their own.
