Lighthouse Project on STEAM
Mathemagic, science facts and a talent showcase – these are just a few of the many activities conducted by RCISME at Lighthouse. An eight-week-long STEAM (Science, Technology & Engineering, Art and Maths) workshop was conducted for Lighthouse students of standards 3 to 6.
A good mix of games, quizzes and creative art/craft kept the children engaged throughout the weekly Saturday sessions. From robotics to photosynthesis and multiplication to square roots, our students were exposed to a variety of topics. The programme culminated with a talent show to showcase each child’s talents.
A special thanks to Rtr. Fiza and Rtr. Yash for moderating the programme. Be it explaining difficult maths concepts with examples, researching additional videos when the children were confused or ensuring every child got a chance to speak, they went out of their way to make sure the children understood what was being taught.
