Second Event Of The ‘In Camera’ Committee To Feature Vibha Bakshi

After its first successful event featuring the author Sudha Shah, the In Camera Committee is back with another one, this time involving the screening of the film “Daughters of Mother India,” followed by an interactive discussion with film-maker Ms Vibha Bakshi. The session will be held on Friday, September 18, between 5.30 and 7 pm in the Great Eastern auditorium located in Ravi Sheth’s office at Ocean House, 134-A Dr. Annie Besant Road, Worli. Members will recall that Ms Vibha Bakshi was the guest speaker at the meeting of July 28 when she had shown brief snippets from her awardwinning documentary film.

This time, at the In Camera Committee-hosted session, the entire film will be screened. The film, Ms Bakshi believes, carries a message of positivity and hope in the face of gloom engendered by the increasing incidents of rape, violence and other heinous crimes against women. It has received critical acclaim and has been screened at many places in India and abroad, including before police forces in the country and at the United Nations. In Camera Chair Anar Shah informs that as the seating capacity of the auditorium is limited, members will be accommodated on a firstcome- first-served basis. Those interested in attending the interactive session should get in touch with Ritu Prakash Desai or Anar Shah as soon as possible. Their respective emails and numbers are: anar.shah@hotmail.com (9821281900) and galleria.bombay@gmail.com (9820049520).
