The Adult Literacy Programme is intended to promote and strengthen adult education to non-literate women in the 15-35 age with an aim to help learners reach functional literacy in 50 to 55 hours over a period of 2 months. Among other things, Learners acquire a vocabulary of around 700 words, enough for day-to-day needs such as reading destination signs on buses, bank documents, and newspapers.
