As The Fears Of Covid Have Receded, The Boys And Men Of The Rotary Club Of Bombay Came Out To Play!

The 7th Annual Tennis tournament and Fellowship was held on December 11th, 2022.

stalwarts PP Rumi Jehangir and Rtn. Dinesh Daftary were joined by PP Ashish Vaid, Rtn. Mehernosh Dotivala, PN Satyan Israni, Rtn. Raj Ajmera , PND Bimal Mehta, Rtn. Jamshed Banaji, Rtn. Mehul Sampat, Sports Committee Chairman Moy Biswas and co-chair Anand Dalal, 3rd generation Rtn. Jamshyd Vazifdar and, probably 4th generation Rotarians, the very well behaved and talented Darayus and Jehan Davar (their proud maternal grandfather PP Nowroze Vazifdar was a proud spectator)!

The action began sharp at 7.30 am and the players played amongst each other in various combinations in the doubles format. Aces, volleys down-the-line winners, forehand winners, backhand passes, and all that the splendid game of tennis has to offer.

All the matches were played in true Rotary spirit with everyone sharing trophies and special trophies for the youngest participants and oldest participants .

The game was followed by a delicious breakfast hosted by our star tennis player Only Bimal!

All in all, a very happy “ace” of a Sunday!
