B’day For Ganesha

LAST WEEK, THE K.G. TOTS OF LIGHTHOUSE CLASS CREATED EVERYONE’S FAVOURITE GOD GANESHA USING PAPER HEARTS.

A variety of fun activities was organised for students throughout the week. As the ages and abilities of students aged three to 11 are vastly different, separate age-appropriate activities were planned for each batch.

The week began with the tiny tots creating cute Ganeshas from precut paper hearts. Parents were involved at every stage from cutting the shapes to helping the little ones paste them in place. The following day students of classes 1 and 2 watched a cartoon movie showing how Ganesha came into existence. They also listened wide-eyed as the symbolism of each part of Lord Ganesha’s body was explained in detail.

Students of classes 3, 4 and 5 learnt how to draw Lord Ganesha complete with modaks, vahan and diya. Kudos to the Vidya staff and parents of Lighthouse for organising these events!
