Cancer Aid Committee
Anti Tobacco Awareness sessions have been commenced by 4 team members of Salaam Bombay foundation at the Byculla School supported by our Bhavishya Yaan programme.
This programme will have multiple sessions over next 4-5 months covering all children in 7th-9th standard to make them aware of harmful effects of tobacco. The attempt is to communicate the message in an entertaining way via skits, lectures , games , videos , street plays , group discussions to ensure the message is received well..
Students of standards 7-9th took a pledge against use of tobacco whose consumption is seen to be profuse amongst the lower economic classes. The programme organised by RCB’s Cancer aid committee will see these students exposed to multimedia messaging over the coming four months.
