Christmas Crafts For Lighthouse
HANG UP THE HOLLY ‘TIS THE SEASON TO BE JOLLY!
Our youngsters at Lighthouse have begun to celebrate the Christmas season. Festivities commenced with the tiny tots of the K.G. class crooning all- time favourites Jingle Bells and We Wish You a Merry Christmas. With a little guidance from their teacher, Ms. Priyanka, they also made pretty greeting cards.
Early elementary students of classes 1 and 2 designed cute Santas while also describing Santa, in their own words, what he means to them.
As the week drew to a close, the oldest students aged 8 to 10 years listened to the story of Frosty the Snowman, a popular Christmas character. Next, they created a 2- in -1 craft- a Christmas tree showpiece which doubles up as a gift box to store ‘treasures’ even after the Christmas season is over. Our outstation students (and their parents) who, despite network issues and logistic difficulties in obtaining craft materials, made every effort to participate in class activities, deserve special mention.
That’s not all. A number of exciting activities including a virtual performance are scheduled for the upcoming Christmas Assembly.
