PAEDIATRIC HEART SURGERIES
RCB partnered with various hospitals in Mumbai including Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, SRCC Childrens Hospital, Sir HN Reliance Hospital & Wadia Hospital along with Haria Rotary Hospital in Vapi, Gujarat to provide free paediatric heart surgeries to children from needy families.
The hospitals work through medical camps held across the country and conducted by qualified paediatric cardiologists. They diagnose high priority cases which are marked for immediate attention and shifted to the hospital. All the families’ supporting documents are screened to identify deserving underprivileged patients whose cases are supported by RCB. RCB supported almost 200 surgeries in the last year (which includes patients as young as a few days old) and hopes to support another 400-450 surgeries in the coming months.
Each of our partner hospitals has conducted the paediatric heart surgeries and interventions with great success and have a reputation for providing excellent medical services without any compromise.

Rotary Club of Bombay in association with Bombay Cotton Merchants and Muccadams Association commenced a free clinic for the under-privileged at Cotton Green in Mumbai. The clinic is open twice a week and offers:
Dr. Batra’s Homeopathy Clinic: PP Rtn. (Dr.) Mukesh Batra started this clinic. Dr. Rekha and compounder Rajanji give free consultation and free medicines. The patients come from surrounding areas and also Pune, Virar and Palghar. We see 70 patients daily.
NM Medical’s Pathology: Blood tests and other tests done by NM Medical at 70 per cent discount, thanks to our Rtn. Rahil Shah who owns NM Medical.
Dental Clinic: With two dental chairs equipped with X-ray facility, we provide free dental treatment with efficient and experienced doctors. Root canals are done free and dentures are carried out at minimal cost. This is thanks to Rtn. Swati Mayekar and Rtn. Ptn. (Dr.) Sandesh Mayekar and their Trust who have provided experienced doctors, Dr. Chetna and Dr. Mallika, who treat approx. 45-50 patients daily.
Eye Clinic: The check-up is done by Dr. Mittal and is equipped with all instruments. Opticians provide glasses to patients at a reduced price. We have also started free cataract operations with Rtn. Dushyant Dave and Kulin Kothari’s Eye Hospital for underprivileged patients of the clinic.
Child Care Clinic: Inaugurated two years back, the Child Care Clinic headed by Dr. Atique has given good results. We distribute free medicines. Malnourished children are treated with special attention.
General Physician: We have gotten a huge response for this service. We also provide free medicine
Beneficiaries: More than 10,000 a year. Till February this year, we had already crossed 6000 patients.
We thank Rtn. Venkat Ramaswamy for his generous donation of Rs. 10 lakh annually towards the running expenses of the dental / eye clinic activities and he further donates additional budgets for buying medical equipment.
