Haldi Kumkum For AY

Ananda Yaan celebrated Haldi Kumkum on February 8th, 2022. Haldi Kumkum is a Maharashtrian tradition from the time of the Peshwas that comes around the same time as Makar Sankranti. Married women dress up and go out to meet other women, their friends and relatives, have fun, sing, and dance. This event helped them get some time off from their working day. We, at AY, decided to celebrate this event in an inclusive way by opening it to all male and female members. Snacks and sweets were sent by Rtn. Madhusudan Daga for all 200 members at both the centres. Members played traditional games, danced to folk songs, and revelled in their shared happiness and positivity.
