Status of projects planned during the year
1. Palghar IT Innovation Lab
• Inaugurated in January 2022, ongoing
• Students enrolled from six schools in Palghar District
• Courses taught: 3-D Printing, Robotics, Internet of Things (IoT)
• Teachers appointed by Rotary Club of Bombay, in-person classes
• Cloud-based course implementation by knowledge partner Grok Learning
• Students regularly participate in science fairs, making demos of 3-D modelling software, smart home system, mine-detecting robots, etc.
• Total number of beneficiaries as on June 2024: 10 sessions, 3,600 students
• Implemented recommendations made in Impact Assessment Report conducted by independent expert
• Action Plan to implement planned projects: Ongoing monitoring of
teachers, students and lab which is in steady-state mode.
2. Wada IT Innovation Lab
• Project funded by CSR India Grant
• Inaugurated March 2024, ongoing
• Students enrolled from PJ High School, Wada
• Courses taught: 3-D Printing, Robotics, Internet of Things (IoT),
Interactive Programme on Career Foundation
• Teachers appointed by Rotary Club of Bombay, in-person classes
• Cloud-based course implementation by knowledge partner Grok Learning, Career Foundation programme by SpeedLabs
• Number of beneficiaries: 532 since project inception of Lab in March 2024
• 1st session 432 students in IT Lab
• 100 students in interactive Career Foundation course
• Action Plan to implement planned projects: Lab started in March 2024,
ongoing monitoring of teachers, students and lab.
3. Proposed Third IT Lab:
Initial feasibility visit conducted June 9th 2024
