Learning About Leadership With Horses
The alumni of the N M Joshi Marg Bhavishya Yaan project experienced a unique Equine Leadership Course at Mahalaxmi racecourse last week. Apart from lessons in leadership and team building, they enjoyed this experientially different event and, also, the brunch at the Turf Club afterwards.
Our former students learnt the characteristics of a good leader. All the activities and consequent learnings were through interactions with horses. In addition, they learned a lot about horses too, such as: the food that horses eat, what makes horses feel appreciated, how to talk to our equine fellow mammals and how they sense our feelings.
They were also able to ride the horses around the course in pairs.
Our alumni expressed their gratitude: “Thank you, Rotary Club of Bombay and Bhavishya Yaan, for this amazing opportunity. Special thanks to our mentor Jaya ma’am for selecting us and Ramesh Narayan Sir for arranging this programme for us.”
