New Year 2016 Lunch Fellowship Spells Warmth!

PP Rtn. Nalin and Anita Parikh courteously ushered in the New Year with Rotarians amid warm camaraderie, by hosting the New Year Fellowship Lunch at the Taj Mahal Hotel on the 5th of January, 2016. The Ball Room lit up with the warm greetings and dazzling smiles of the 198-strong attendance comprising Rotarians, spouses, guests, rotaractors and members of the Inner Wheel Club. President Dr. Sonya Mehta welcomed all the Rotarians wishing them a happy new year blessed with health, happiness and prosperity to all; also thanking PP Rtn.

Nalin and Anita Parikh for starting the year on the wonderful note of January 12 to January 18, 2016 The Bulletin of the Rotary Club of Bombay Page 3 Fellowship. She also shared a few announcements inviting everyone to the 9th Annual Golf Tournament and the post tournament fellowship on the 16th of January, at the Willingdon Sports Club. She also reminded those interested in the Club’s District Conference (6th and 7th February, 2016) to register with the office; as also of the Club Assembly to be held the 8th of March.

She thanked Rotarians for their Bday donations and was delighted to acknowledge a generous donation facilitated by Rtn. Ali Akbar Merchant. Rtn. Priyasri Patodia encouraged members to look up the horse-themed paintings on display, by contemporary artists from Baroda and Mumbai, with 30% of the proceeds donated towards Rotary projects. PP Rtn. Nalin Parikh, having been with the RCB for 45 years reminisced, “RCB has truly evolved over the past four decades – in terms of the quality and the quantity of work we do to uplift the under-privileged. It’s also a joy to be part of its warm Fellowship.”
