On March 2nd, 2024, students from Bhavishya Yaan’s grades 5th, 6th, and 7th of the NMJ School embarked on a captivating field trip to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (CSMVS), as part of an extension of Ms. Marina Datta’s earlier session at the school.
The visit commenced with an engaging overview of the historical significance behind the sculptures, providing students with valuable insights into the rich cultural heritage preserved within the museum’s walls. Led by knowledgeable museum guides, the students were taken on an enlightening tour of the diverse collection, spanning Greek, Indian, and various other sculptures depicting gods and goddesses.
Following this immersive exploration, students had the opportunity to unleash their creativity by crafting sculptures from clay, a hands-on activity that sparked joy and creativity among the children.
The day concluded with the distribution of snack boxes to all attendees, marking the end of a fulfilling and enlightening experience. The students returned to school with hearts full of knowledge and memories, cherishing the informative yet enjoyable day spent at CSMVS.
