OUR LEGACY

Last week I wrote about the importance of having youth and idealism and the energy of youngsters in our Club.

This week I would like to acknowledge our legacy… the older Rotarians who have been with us for decades and who have built the Club to what it is today. The legacy of any association rests on the values, passion and commitment of those that stood before.

Our Club has had stalwarts from the very beginning. From the days of Sir Pheroze Sethna and Sir Sultan Chinoy to all the presidents in the last several decades. Each one has served selflessly and committedly to projects that have stood the test of time.

This year, we acknowledged their contribution in a small way and exempted many more from the Club’s membership fees, based on years of service and age. However, their spirit of giving continued, and many returned with donations to our trust. As PP Nowroze Vazifdar wrote, “To express my gratitude, I donate….”

Thanks to all our generous donors who give to serve those that need our support. Our projects can only sustain due to the benevolence and caring that our members demonstrate year after year.

The Club thanks you for what you have done and continue to do, in service and kind.
