SERVING OTHERS HAS NO VISIBLE LIMIT –

it is the pathway to no bigger joy, no bigger challenge, no bigger opportunity and no bigger responsibility. Often, we find the challenges surrounding our communities so significant and complex that we wonder if mere good intent and compassion can bring solutions. So, we stop ourselves from taking that first small step.

IN OUR SEARCH FOR THE EXTRAORDINARY, THE MUNDANE IS OFTEN OVERLOOKED. AND TAKING THE FIRST SMALL STEP IS POSSIBLY MUNDANE.
Have we not seen how good deeds when publicly performed have a natural tendency to attract buy-in from unknown supporters? Common values and shared concerns are very likely to be latent. It takes just one person to take the first right step and the rest follow.

We have to stop shying away from becoming the first domino. For a line of dominoes to fall, one has to fall first and then other dominoes start falling in the same line. Most associate the falling of dominoes as negative. However, if civic behaviour is guided by well-intentioned collective character then a small initiative has the capacity to set off a string of positive events.

The nature of challenges that our communities and certain minorities face might be complex but our response to make their lives better is surely far simpler. Let each one of us take that first step. Steps taken together have transformed the destinies of people and nations.
