President’s Report For 2018-2019 – Literacy Committee

Number of beneficiaries: Approximately 1650 students.
Completed projects: All plans that were conceptualised for the year were successfully implemented. Annual Day held for all five schools at Ambedkar School in July.
New thematic syllabus successfully implemented. Colaba Primary School started on August 26th, 2018.
Inauguration of Prabhadevi School on February 25th, 2019.
Testing software app developed by Mr Niranjan of Infotroopers through Pansi technologies.
Monthly, oral, written and tab tests have been conducted according to plan.
Introducing extra-curricular activities such as chess and carom.
A finishing school at ISME was held in April 2019 and a computer finishing school was held in all schools. Teacher training for both English and computers held in May 2019.
Three educational camps and a literature festival held during the year Setting up and starting Byculla Primary which completes our five schools from Standard 1 to 10. Permissions for 2019-20 obtained.
