RCB INAUGURATES CFLC LABS AT PALGHAR AND BOISAR

On March 13th, spirits were high as the Rotary Club of Bombay (RCB) marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of two new learning centres—its second Community Future Learning Centre (CFLC) lab in Palghar and its third CFLC and IT Innovation lab in Boisar. These state-of-the-art facilities aim to provide students in these regions with enhanced opportunities in technology and innovation.
The driving force behind the success of these initiatives is the generous donor, Rtn. Yogesh Mahansaria, who was present for the inaugurations. He was joined by President Rtn. Satyan Israni, PDG Sandip Agarwalla, PP Vineet Bhatnagar, Project Chair Rtn. Abhishek Saraf, Rtn. Akhil Sanghi, Rtn. Jagdish Vora, Rtn. Uday Sanghani, Rtn. Miral Shal, Rtn. Swati Jajodia, and Tanvi Golatkar. Also in attendance were partners Anagha Komawar from Grok Learning and Vivek Varshney from Teevra, both of whom have played an important role in shaping these projects.

The Club received significant support from local Rotary Clubs—Rotary Club of Palghar and Rotary Club of Tarapur Boisar—highlighting the collaborative spirit of the initiative.
The Palghar IT Innovation lab, now in its third year, showcased the incredible progress made since its inception. With over 4,400 students already benefiting, the lab has grown from serving a single school in January 2022 to now welcoming students from 11 different schools. Parents have expressed deep appreciation for RCB’s vision and commitment, making it a heart-warming visit for all attendees. The local S T Kadam School trustees and community members felicitated the donor and RCB members in a touching ceremony. To further inspire students, RCB announced that any CFLC Palghar student admitted to the IIT would have their entire fees funded by the club. Boisar was equally celebratory. The inauguration began with a spirited welcome— students of S D Vartak School greeted the guests with a tilak, dance, and sports performances. The new IT Innovation and CFLC labs were reviewed and formally opened, followed by another round of felicitation by the school trustees. These trustees noted the growing interest from nearby schools keen to emulate RCB’s successful model. Matching the Palghar commitment, RCB also announced full IIT scholarship support for Boisar’s CFLC students, which was met with great enthusiasm.
The event concluded with a delightful lunch hosted by SD Vartak School. The Boisar lab has been established under the guidance of Rtn. Anirudh Choudhary of the IT Committee. All in all, it was a fulfilling and inspiring day
