RCB increases commitment to The Rotary Foundation
AT THE TRF SEMINAR ON OCTOBER 7, members were urged to familiarise themselves with the overall district scenario
District RID 3141 and Rotary Club of Mumbai Elegant, an all-women’s club, organised a seminar on The Rotary Foundation (TRF) on October 7, 2018.
RCB was amongst the co-hosts and the TRF seminar was attended in full force by President Vijay Jatia and PP Rtn. Sandip Agarwalla leading on behalf of RCB. Other RCB attendees were PE Rtn. Preeti Mehta and PN Rtn. Framroze Mehta
along with Rtns. Hiren Kara, Mudit Jain, Gaurav Nevatia, Jaymin Jhaveri and Abhishek Sharman.
PP Rtn. Sandip Agarwalla made a presentation on how to get prospective donors to contribute to the TRF. The target for Dist. 3141 for TRF is $7 million for the year 2018-19 and RCB’s commitment is $250,000 which has been increased to $1.5 million. The seminar was very well attended with over 150 delegates and all were urged to achieve 06 THE BULLETIN OF THE ROTARY CLUB OF BOMBAY the target for the coming year of $7 million.
The seminar was led by PDG Rtn. Ramesh Khanna and the chief guest was DG Rtn. Shashikumar Sharma.
It is strongly recommended that other members continue to attend such seminars as we get an idea of the overall
scenario of the district and the progress of other clubs too. Other presentations by various resource leaders included combining CSR with TRF and how to apply for global grants.
The meeting concluded with cocktails and dinner.
