RCHR’S Ray Of Hope
The Rotaract Club of H.R. College organised a campaign to break the taboo around menstruation and depict the problems faced by rural women. Our RCHR Rotaractors have first-hand knowledge of this through their biggest project Aashayein-Adopt A Village.
RCHR planned a street play and a flash mob at Mumbai Central Station on May 4th, 2022, to wake up the crowds. They rehearsed the play for a month before staging it and called it The Day Has Come.
Rotaractors commandeered a desk at the station where the documentary Aashayein – Adopt A Village was screened. Pamphlets and Rotaractors explained the social initiative to curious onlookers.
RCHR also did the rounds of the station and reached out to people who may have missed the play or the documentary.
