EMPOWERING A GIRL CHILD MEANS EMPOWERING OUR FUTURE. TO CELEBRATE GIRL CHILD DAY ON OCTOBER 11TH, 2020, THE INTERNATIONAL SERVICE TEAM OF THE ROTARACT CLUB OF JAI HIND COLLEGE CAME UP WITH A UNIQUE IDEA. THE NAME OF THE PROJECT WAS ‘MAUKA.’

The team asked for the Curriculum Vitaes of women and girls who are unable to get employment. The motive of this was to attempt to enable them acquire a stable means of employment.

The team then contacted various business houses and companies, who could provide an internship to the girls. They requested them to be a part of this project and once they agreed, the proceedings were continued.

After receiving an affirmation for the same, the CVs of the girls were forwarded to the following business organisations: Geebee, CueMath, B3 events, Younity.

Post this, a form filling process began. The team is assisting the girls who have applied for the same.

After a short interview, the team is optimistic that the girls will receive their internship.

Helping someone brings a lot of satisfaction and this is what the International Service Team has learned in the process of helping women receive employment opportunities.
