Register for the Fellowship to Pune

The super-successful ISRO fellowship will now be followed by a “marathon” twonight fellowship, beginning Friday, September 11 and ending on Sunday, September 13. The venue will be Chairman Jai Advani’s Hotel Parc Estique in Pune. Only 40 rooms are available, to be allotted on a first-comefirst- served basis. On the first day, members will drive down or board the private Volvo bus to Pune and check into the hotel between 2 and 6 pm. The fun will begin right away, with a wine tasting of six to seven grape varietals and paired, pre-plated hors d’oeuvres, followed by an open-air barbeque dinner and dance with a DJ in attendance.

The event, called “Kebabs with a Twist”, will offer a Rotary Register for the Fellowship to Pune retro night along with fusion food, making it an evening to remember. The second day will see the group having breakfast at the hotel and then either going out to the nearby malls or driving into the city for shopping. By 2 pm everybody will be back and proceed for bowling and lunch at the Phoenix Mall next door. A quick siesta and then the group will head out to Koregaon Park for an Oriental meal at Mallaka Spice, critically acclaimed as one of the best restaurants in India. On Sunday morning, a light breakfast will be followed by a Karaoke fellowship brunch in the bar. The brunch live stations will serve pancakes, waffles, pastas and dosa and the bar counter will offer beer and sangria – and all the stations will be (man)ned by Rotarians. To join this unique culinary adventure along with their families, Rotarians are requested to register immediately with Ms Sangeeta Kadam at the Rotary office.

Remember, there are only 40 rooms available on a firstcome- first-served basis. Register by sending a payment of Rs. 7,500 per person on double occupancy, or Rs. 15,000 per couple. For those who would like to take the Volvo bus both ways, the charges are Rs. 8,500 per person on double occupancy. For singles who don’t wish to share, there is a room supplement of Rs. 3,500 per head (thus, Rs. 11,000 per person; or Rs. 12,000 including the Volvo fare).
