Rtn. Rashmi Jolly Backs Cataract Care in Goa
In a commendable effort to enhance public healthcare, the Rotary Club of Panaji Riviera, in partnership with its CSR collaborator Jollyboard Limited, has donated a state-of-the-art Phacoemulsification machine worth Rs. 25 lakh to the South Goa District Hospital, Margao. The contribution was made on November 17th, 2025, alongside an additional cataract equipment donation through the Govindram Jolly Charitable
Trust.
This advanced machine will facilitate free cataract surgeries, significantly benefiting underprivileged families across Goa. With this latest support, Jollyboard Limited and the Rotary Club of Panaji
Riviera have contributed medical equipment valued at Rs. 1.28 crore to the hospital, strengthening the
region’s healthcare infrastructure.
“This initiative in particular will help restore vision, independence, and quality of life for countless
individuals, marking a step towards a healthier Goa,” said IPP Tanvi Attreya Sawant of the Rotary Club of Panaji Riviera.
