Sadhu Vaswani Mission celebrates Christmas with Lighthouse
On December 13, Poonam Malani and her team from Sadhu Vaswani Mission Colaba visited the Lighthouse class from 4 to 6 pm to spread the message of love and harmony. Around 120 students from kindergarten to class 4 attended
the session. A few mothers from the community were also invited to attend along with their children. Ms. Neha, a teacher of Fort Convent School, organised a few games to break the ice. She was impressed with the set-up and initiative and offered to volunteer with Lighthouse regularly. This will bring new ideas to Lighthouse.
Mr. Rakesh accompanied the children on the guitar while they sang Christmas carols, popular nursery rhymes and Bollywood children’s hits. Ms. Malani told the children about Sadhu Vaswani and his Mission and urged the mothers to avail of the free/ concessional education and health facilities offered at their schools and hospitals. At the end, each child was gifted a hamper containing a colouring book, crayons and nutritious snacks. It was an enjoyable evening for all. Ms. Malani appreciated the format of this platform being provided to children where others could also contribute towards their welfare.
