Story Sessions To Improve Tiny Tots’ Vocabulary

With improving basic literacy levels being a priority at Lighthouse, storytelling can be used to raise standards while developing skills, knowledge and confidence in a range of other areas.

The stories have academic level vocabulary and newer words. It is easy to teach the meanings of the words as children learn faster from the context of story.

The idea is also to prepare children for interview admissions to English medium schools. This weekly story session, every Tuesday, hopes to achieve this goal.

These sessions are especially designed keeping the level of children in mind and are taken by our mentor of the project, Ms Manisha Ahuja from NGO Vidya.
