The Ocean Talk Litfest is underway at Lighthouse
Here’s a quick glance at what the students have learnt in the last three days: the tiny tots of K.G. have been getting acquainted with the many inhabitants of the sea-like octopus and jellyfish. The little ones are even learning
to mimic the actions of these sea animals.
Students of classes 1 and 2 have begun exploring the sources and origin of water through the wonderful water cycle. Meanwhile our oldest students from classes 3 to 6 are gaining a better understanding of the global issue of ocean pollution. Through crossword and fun activities like creating their own ocean pollution discovery bottles, kids are gaining knowledge about the causes of pollution and types of marine debris.
Following in the footsteps of eco artist Rohan Chakravarty (whom they were introduced to in class) our students have
even attempted to create their own eco-cartoon to raise awareness about ocean pollution.
