Vaidu Women Learn Numbers

The tribal women of the Vaidu community are now learning numbers, beginning with simple counting, and writing from
0 to 10.
Numeric literacy and addition have been embedded into the functional literacy model of TCS which RCB has adopted
in its Adult Literacy Programme.
While they are learning to read and write words, simple mathematics has been introduced to them. Knowing numbers along with alphabets will make them want to do much more. Younger girls will explore working in different avenues once they are literate.
