The Taj Mahal Hotel usually sports a formal look for all Rotary meetings. However, the venue was decked up in decorations and flowers, all thanks to the efforts of Swapana, who carefully looked into every detail. The theme of was red, green and white. A huge Christmas tree was placed at the entrance to welcome the Club members, each of whom sported the Santa hat that was given to them.
The menu, chosen specially by the host and hostess, included the traditional Christmas wine, assorted bread baskets, split pea soup, pumpkin soup, salads, Chicken Diavolo, roast lamb with red wine, cottage cheese steak and much more. However, the Christmas pudding with vanilla ice-cream and fruit tarts served as dessert were enjoyed the most by
everyone present.
No party is complete without music and saxophonist Anand Vaity ensured that members had a good time with his tunes. The event was a success thanks to flawless planning by Manoj and Swapana.
