341 homes and 2142 people with access to clean energy
341 homes will have access to clean energy, bring about a deep change in the productive hours, health conditions, environmental conditions as well as saving capacity of each family.
1350 metric tonnes of carbon emissions neutralized
Clean energy allows for unparalleled benefit to the environment as well the health of the residents. Protecting them from toxic kerosene fumes, and giving them the sustainable energy source for irrigation, this project will neutralize carbon emissions over 5 years to the amount of over 1350 metric tonnes.
2,345,490 litres clean water for drinking
The solar power lift irrigation system pulls water for drinking, storing it before putting it through an ultrafiltration system. This makes clean and pure water available each year for drinking to the amount of 2,345,490 litres, leading to far improved health indicators from reduction in water borne diseases, particularly in children.
185 acres of land brought under cultivation
Owing to the lift irrigation system installed, 65 acres of land will immediately be brought into
year long agricultural cultivation.
6000 fruit saplings have been distributed to 12 0 farmers bringing 120 acres of land into
horticulture cultivation and green cover. A total of 185 acres of land have been brought into cultivation in this project. Over the next 3 years, we project double the number of farmers participating in the agricultural fold, and consequently double the amount of land being brought under cultivation.
With access to water, incase of erratic monsoon, we have seen with similar projects in the region, farmers are able to protect their primary monsoon paddy crop, hence protecting their income.
