Elders celebrate Friendship Day with enthusiasm
The Ananda Yaan (AY) Committee hosted a wonderful Friendship Day event at the Byculla Centre of AY on August 6th, 2024. President Satyan Israni attended the event along with PN Manish Reshamwala, and many other members of the RCB. Additionally, prominent members from the Baghbaan and Disability to Ability Avenue of Service from District 3141, such as Chairperson Savita and Dr. Mona Shah were present.
Ananda Yaan Chairman Kaushal Mehta welcomed the guests and highlighted the diverse range of activities that the underprivileged elders enjoy through this unique initiative, including yoga, Zumba, sports, medical care, picnics, and music shows. He gave special recognition to Ekta Shah, who has been actively involved with the initiative from the very beginning.
The elders then delighted everyone with an energetic display of Zumba, and one elder woman spoke eloquently about how Ananda Yaan had significantly improved her life.
The evening concluded with a delicious South Indian tiffin for all attendees.
