A Day of Impact: The Rotary Foundation’s Laura Bradley Witnesses Global Grants in Action at Masina Hospital

The Rotary Club of Bombay had the distinct honor of hosting Ms. Laura Bradley, Regional Grants Officer of The Rotary Foundation, for an insightful day dedicated to showcasing the transformative power of Rotary’s Global Grant projects. The visit centered around a comprehensive guided tour of the various initiatives supported by the Rotary Club of Bombay at Masina Hospital, a testament to the enduring commitment of Rotarians to community welfare.

Ms. Bradley was warmly welcomed and accompanied throughout the tour by a distinguished delegation, Dr. Gustad Daver – Head of Advisory Board & Trustee and Mr. Khushrow Major – CEO, at Masina Hospital, President Satyan Israni of the Rotary Club of Bombay, District Governor Chetan Desai, Past President Vijay Jatia, District Chief Coordinator Radhika Mehta, and Rtn. Paritosh Rungta. Together, they navigated the hospital, highlighting the tangible impact of Global Grants in areas such as enhanced medical equipment, improved healthcare infrastructure, and specialized training programs, all designed to uplift the quality of care provided to patients. “It’s truly inspiring to see firsthand how the dedication and strategic planning of the Rotary Club of Bombay, combined with the support of The Rotary Foundation, are making such a significant difference in people’s lives here at Masina Hospital,” remarked Ms. Bradley during her tour. “The scope and effectiveness of these projects are a shining example of Rotary’s mission in action.”

 

President Satyan Israni expressed his gratitude for Ms. Bradley’s visit, stating, “We are incredibly proud of the work we’ve accomplished at Masina Hospital through the Global Grants. Her presence today not only validates our efforts but also provides invaluable feedback that will help us further refine our future initiatives.”

Following the comprehensive tour of Masina Hospital, the day culminated in a delightful dinner hosted by the Rotary Club of Bombay in honor of Ms. Bradley. The elegant gathering saw the presence of numerous Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Bombay and other clubs within the district, fostering an atmosphere of camaraderie and shared purpose.

A highlight of the evening was the much-appreciated presence of Ms. Megan Anderson, Director of Strategy, Rotary International. Her participation underscored the global significance of the work being done at the grassroots level and the strong connection between Rotary International and its constituent clubs.

The dinner provided an excellent platform for Ms. Bradley and Ms. Anderson to engage with local Rotarians, discussing best practices, future opportunities for collaboration, and the evolving landscape of global grant projects.
