Project details from July 1st to date:
• A short film was completed, produced, and directed by Nabeel Abbas, who runs a successful digital agency, among other ventures. The script was written by Anushree, a copywriter at VML – the largest advertising agency in India. The voice-over for the entire two-minute film was provided by film icon Ms. Pooja Bhatt, who also makes a special appearance at the end. The film highlights the plight of stray dogs and encourages people to adopt Indies rather than purchasing pedigree dogs. It was launched at the Rotary Club of Bombay meeting on June 3rd, 2025.
• Ms. Gayatri Ruia has kindly agreed to support our fundraiser by offering the use of her premises at Palladium. Further details will be shared in due course.
• Discussions are currently underway with Vantara to organise a potential retreat aligned with the Club’s animal welfare initiatives.
• An animal rescue ambulance was donated by PP Ramesh Narayan to the NGO World For All.
• August 16th, 2025: An online talk was held to plan a wildlife photography exhibition and sale to raise funds for animal welfare initiatives.
• The Shoot a Stray contest, hosted by the Rotary Club of Bombay and the Satellite Club of RCB, aimed to create awareness about stray animals.
• Support was extended to PAWS for surgery on a dog suffering from a belly tumour.
• December 10th, 2025: An interaction was held with renowned environmentalist Bittu Sahgal at the KKamalnayan bajaj Art gallery
