Ananda Yaan Enjoys Its Holi Day

THE TEAM PARTNERS-IN-SERVICE OF THE ROTARACT CLUB OF HINDUJA COLLEGE, SUPPORTED BY THE PARENT ROTARY ROTARY CLUB OF BOMBAY, INITIATED THEIR FIRST ON-GROUND EVENT AY KI HOLI, ALONG WITH THE MEMBERS OF THE ANANDA YAAN COMMITTEE.

The event was conducted on March 24th, 2021, as a pre-Holi celebration, allowing the Rotaractors of Hinduja College to spend time bonding with senior citizens. The afternoon began with the tradition of applying a tilak and some organic gulal on each other. Three fun games followed after this. First, our members enjoyed playing ‘Passing the parcel’. For the second game, ‘Aim it’, senior citizens paired up with Rotaractors. It was a new experience for them. The celebration ended with a lemon and spoon race.

Enthusiastic Rotaractors and the energetic and ever-young Ananda Yaan members enjoyed the small Holi celebration. At the end, the event ended with a dance session on a good note with winners felicitated with a hamper by the Rotaractors. The event ended with old retro songs requested by Ananda Yaan members.

Due to rising Covid cases, AY classes will not happen in-person for a month so this was a great festive finale until they meet again.
