CHILDREN’S DAY Party for street kids

The Rotary Club of Bombay celebrated Children’s Day by hosting a party for 270 street children who are being helped by the Salaam Balak Foundation at Marine Drive. The party was attended by Rotarians and Rotaryannes who included President Ramesh, Devi, Preeti Mehta, Alok Sekhsaria, Tara Deshpande, and Vatsala Jatia.
Rtn. Alok said that these were the poorest of the poor. Children who didn’t even have a slum to go home to, and deserved our support on an on-going basis.
