Lighthouse Maps The Past

Our Lighthouse students visited Meandering through a Mapped Canvas, an exhibition pf restored maps organised by the Royal Asiatic Society at Asiatic Library and the Rotary Club of Bombay.

The youngsters were taken on a guided tour of the city (and country) through maps. From 400-yearold specimens that had been painstakingly restored to ‘new’ 75-year-old ones, the children observed the displays carefully.

Their tour ended with two activities: one had them placing stickers of famous Mumbai landmarks on a giant map and the second required them to put together jigsaws of maps they were shown earlier.
