Our First Outstation Fellowship Of The Year Was To Tadoba Tiger

 In Animal Welfare, Fellowship

Reserve in the last week of November. It was an eagerly anticipated trip with 42 attendees including Rotarians and partners. Several more had shown an interest but it was completely sold out.

Our trip began with a flight to Nagpur and a twohour drive to Bamboo Forest Lodge at Tadoba. The resort was warm and welcoming, and their hospitality was excellent and much appreciated by our group. The chief naturalist gave us a fabulous presentation on Tadoba Tiger Reserve and a brief overview on the tiger conservation programme over the last 50 years.

The safaris were very well organised, and our enthusiastic group enjoyed the experience of a breakfast in the bush, getting to see amazing birds and animals including deer, bison, and sloth bear. Of course, the icing on the cake was seeing the tigress Maya – the Queen of Tadoba, it was a sight that mesmerised us!

A fabulous bonhomie was organised over drinks by the pool and lake in the evenings with great food, music, and laughter! Our gratitude to the Fellowship Committee and President Vineet Bhatnagar for the arrangements. This outstation fellowship was much appreciated by the group who left Tadoba with amazing pictures and memories.
