Science Comes Alive for CWC Lighthouse Children
Forty children from Classes 1 to 5, accompanied by three volunteer mothers and four teachers, enjoyed an exciting and enriching outing to the Nehru Science Centre on Sunday.

Their adventure began aboard the Aqua Metro, which became a moving classroom, offering lessons on sustainable travel, public behaviour, discipline, and respect for shared community spaces. It also gave the children a first-hand experience of Mumbai’s modern transport infrastructure. At the Nehru Science Centre, the children eagerly explored a variety of interactive exhibits and hands-on experiments. They discovered new scientific concepts through observation, curiosity, and touch-and-try learning, making the experience both educational and enjoyable.
A major highlight was the captivating 3D show, where immersive visuals created the illusion of objects floating towards them. The children’s laughter, excitement, and wide-eyed wonder made this moment truly unforgettable. This outing also marked the conclusion of the Diwali Camp, during which the children had explored themes such as Science, Food, and Nutrition. At Lighthouse, experiential learning remains central to our approach, and this memorable trip beautifully demonstrated how joyful exposure, exploration, and real-world experiences foster deeper and happier learning.
