Glass Painting Workshop for BY Students

Bhavishya Yaan’s G K Marg organised a painting workshop for students of Ganpat Rao Kadam School, Parel on the 20th of February. A total of 35 students from grade IX enthusiastically learnt a new technique which they were exposed to for first time – Glass Painting. The teacher started the workshop with specific instructions on the craft. The process involved using a number of specific techniques to create a finished work of art. This glass painting workshops taught new these techniques and was intended for students with no previous glasspainting experience.

All participants were provided with the material kit for glass painting. The teaching methodology helped the students learn in a relaxed manner, with each child deciding how they wanted to their project to look. All in all, the Glass painting workshop turned out to be a new learning experience as well as a lot of fun. Students learnt how they could paint different things using glasspaints, used not only used for making decorative wall arts and frames but also for calendars, vases, lamps, trays and more. Glass painting is also great for revamping old and simple items. The finished results were very impressive.
